Awards

All finishers will receive a commemorative finisher medal presented by a survivor.

Distinctive awards will be presented to:

  • First place overall male & female in the 5K & 10K, respectively
  • First, second, and third place male & female in the 5K & 10K, respectively, in the following age categories: 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, & 60 & up. 

The awards ceremony will take place after the final participant crosses the finish line.

Rules

Refund Policy: Refunds are not available for any reason, other than active military service. Event entries are transferable between persons, Event entries ARE NOT transferable between events or years. We are sorry but we will not be able to make exceptions to this policy. By registering for this event you agree to these refund terms.


Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, the event will be postponed as long as possible in hopes the inclement weather will pass. The event will occur rain or shine. 


Please review the following rules prior to registering:
Strollers will be allowed but they must start at the rear of the start wave. This is for everyone’s safety. With a mass start, it is easy for runners and walkers to get tripped up on  a stroller. 


Participants are asked to refrain from bringing dogs on the course. K-9 officers will be present and will need to remain focused for safety during the event.


Roller blades will not be allowed on the race course.


Race numbers are required to take part in the race. 


iPods & Other Audio Devices – We strongly recommend that you do not use iPods or other audio devices during the race. Choosing to use an audio device will not result in disqualification, but you will compromise your safety and that of others. Please use consideration and good judgment in this area.

Parking

Free parking will be available on a first come, first served basis at two nearby lots; these lots include: Woodrail Center (across Forum, west of the event site) and the South lot of Forum Boulevard Christian Church (across Nifong, north of the event site).
